Where is the departure and disembarkation point?
Tramstop #125 Normanby Road, near the corner of Clarendon Street, adjacent to the Melbourne
Exhibition Centre. You will find us located diagonally across the road from Crown Casino. See a map on the Contact Page
Where does it travel?
All services are scheduled to travel through the city and surrounding suburbs, for example, Albert Park,
St Kilda and South Melbourne. Alterations to the trip could be made due to traffic disruptions.
How much does it cost?
Please refer to the Times & Prices page for additional information on the departure times and prices.
All prices quoted include beverages from a fully stocked bar.
When does it operate?
An Early Dinner and Late Dinner operate daily. Luncheon services are also regularly available.
The Tramcar Restaurant can be scheduled for exclusive private charters including Breakfast,
Luncheon, Morning Tea and High Tea.
Where can I find car parking close by?
Crown Casino and the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre have secure car parking and are located across the road from our departure point. Both are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Are gift vouchers available?
Absolutely! The Colonial Tramcar Restaurant offers open dated gift certificates for Luncheon,
Early Dinner and Late Dinner. Presented in a special souvenir folder they make an ideal gift
for Christmas, anniversaries, birthdays or any special occasion. Book online
What type of menu is offered?
Luncheon comprises 4 courses, Early Dinner 3 courses and the Late Dinner 5 courses.

How many staff are onboard?
On each Tramcar we have a Maitre d, Waiter and Chef.
Is there a toilet onboard?
Yes.
How many patrons can be accommodated?
108 passengers. Our fleet consists of 3 travelling Tramcar Restaurants with a maximum seat
capacity of 36 passengers on each. There is a section of 24 and of 12 on each Tramcar.
Each section has booths for 4 people and 2 people.
Does the booth seating impose any space restrictions?
The Colonial Tramcar Restaurant provides fixed booth style seating of 4 or 2. There is no provision
for moving tables and there is limited fixed space between the front of the table and the back of the chair.
Does the Tramcar allow wheelchair access?
Due to sizing restrictions we are unable to board wheelchairs and walking frames onto the tram. We can provide secure storage for your wheelchair for the duration of the trip. Please contact our friendly reservations consultants to discuss your requirements.
How is payment required?
Full payment is required 30 days prior to departure. Should your reservation fall within the 30 day
period, full payment is due upon booking. Payment can be made by cheque, money orders and all
major credit cards are accepted. Alternatively you can visit our office located at Level 1, 566 City Road,
South Melbourne or book online now.
Are the Tramcars air conditioned?
The Tramcars are air conditioned and heated.
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
All dietary requirements must be advised to our office at least 24 hours prior to departure.
What is the dress code?
Smart casual.
Can you organise flowers, cakes?
Yes, a corsage or long stem rose can be purchased at a cost of $15.00. A personalised cake
can be purchased at a cost of $35.00. At least 3 days notice is required to order these items.

Are children welcome on board?
We do welcome children on the Tramcar, and can accommodate children aged 5 years and above. These age restrictions have been carefully considered in the interests of health and safety.
